Marjorie Ann Mathis, 80 of St. Louis, MI passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 surrounded by family. Marjorie was born July 29, 1944 the daughter of Joseph and Eloise (Palmer) Chvojka. She married Thomas A. Mathis and together they had two sons, Robert and Keven. Marjorie dedicated her life to the service of the community and her church. She attended the First Church of God in Alma and was a member of the Gleaners Harmony Arbor #273 of St. Louis since 2011, acting as chaplain. Marjorie is survived by her two sons Robert J. (Patricia) Mathis of Mt. Pleasant, MI and Keven L. (Paula) Mathis of Franklin, NC; her brother Joseph L. (Lois) Chvojka of Elwell, MI; 5 grandchildren Sheenna, Joel, Kourtney, Brandi, and Samantha; and 10 great grandchildren. Margie was a kind loving person who will be greatly missed. The family is being served by the Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, donations in her honor be made to the Rich and Helen Hospice Suite of the Mapleview Retirement Community(4396 S Luce Rd., Ithaca, MI 48847).
