Brian Donald Genaw; age 71 of Beaverton passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 peacefully at his home surrounded by family. Brian was born May 30, 1954 the son of Donald and Mary Blanche (Larion) Genaw. He enjoyed fishing and camping and proudly taught all the grandchildren how to fish. Brian married Debra Downing December 8, 1973. He retired from Midland Dow Chemical after 30 years of service. Brian’s pride and joy was his 1974 GTO that he enjoyed taking family to town on Sunday’s for ice cream in. He was a family man through and through. Brian is survived by his wife Debra; 4 children Jennifer (Robert) Winstead of Beaverton, Laurie (Paul) Willetts of Beaverton, Scott (Heidi) Genaw of Gladwin, and Greg (Tarah) Genaw of Gladwin; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers Bradley (Sandra) Genaw of Maine and Kevin (Lisa) Genaw of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Brian is preceded in death by both his parents; brother Michael Genaw; and his sister Janet Arnold. Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
