Betty Wadle Ley Langlois; age 91 of Winn, formerly of Shepherd, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Masonic Pathways with family by her side. Betty was born September 5, 1933 the daughter of Howard and Carolyn (Guthrie) Wadle. Betty married John E. Ley February 3, 1951 and he preceded her in 1981. She married James Langlois July 30, 1983 and he preceded her in 2021. She was a very orderly person who was known as a hard worker and a good cook. She was very loyal and intelligent. Betty was a devout Catholic who always was thinking of and praying for others. She was an avid Shepherd Blue Jay wrestling fan and took stats for the program for long period of time. Betty retired after nearly 30 years at Central Michigan University as a Food Service Supervisor. She enjoyed many years of traveling, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Betty is survived by 3 children Daniel (Patricia) Ley of Cheyenne, WY, Stephen (Tamara) Ley of Millington, and Kathy McDonald of Winn; 4 step-children Jeannie Tompkins of Greer, SC, Judy Ann (Scott) Hall of Jupiter, FL, Robert Langlois of Mt. Pleasant, and Rebecca Langlois of Mt. Pleasant; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Bonnie Wadle of Mt. Pleasant and Becky (Jim) Hynes of Shepherd; and several nieces and nephews. Betty is preceded by both her parents; her husband’s John and James; daughter Annette McCloy; son Michael Ley; and brothers Howard “Bud” Wadle and Bill Wadle. Services for Betty will be Friday, August 1 at 11 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Shepherd with visitation from 10 A.M. until time of service. There will also be visitation at St. Vincent de Paul on Thursday, July 31 from 4:30 to 7:30 with a vigil service at 7 P.M. Interment will take place at St. Vincent Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made on behalf of Betty to St. Vincent de Paul Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
