Edward “Gary” Faber, age 68, of Shepherd, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
Gary was born November 16, 1957, the son of Edward and Joan (Wawersik) Faber. Gary was a farmer at heart and truly enjoyed the farming life. He loved being outdoors and, in his younger years, enjoyed canoeing. Gary was happiest on the farm and never felt the need to venture too far from home. He was a proud United States Army veteran. Above all, Gary loved his family and especially adored his two grandchildren, who brought him great joy.
Gary is survived by his son, Jonathan (Sarah) Faber; two grandchildren, Emersyn and Larsyn Faber; his siblings, Kathy Blizzard, Sue (Pat) Theisen, Mike (Michell) Faber, Denise (Don) Long, Michelle Mazure, and Brenda (Joe) Gruss; special friend, Cris LeBaron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Joan Faber; and his brother, Danny Faber.
Funeral services for Gary will be held Friday, October 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd. Visitation will take place Thursday, October 29, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
