Gregory James Joslin
May 8, 1955 – June 27, 2025
Gregory James Joslin, 70, of Shepherd, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025.
Greg was born on May 8, 1955, to Jim and Nina (Mickle) Joslin. He was a proud graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, class of 1973, where he played in the marching band, played baseball, took the field as a football player, and was voted “Nicest Smile” by his classmates.
Greg was an avid Michigan Wolverine, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Tigers fan. He also loved The Beatles.
On June 26, 1976, Greg married Kim Morey, and together they welcomed three children: Desmond Joslin of Mount Pleasant; Carly (Matthew) Davis of Ithaca; and Nathan (Brett) Joslin of Alma. Greg later married Cheryl Fisher on July 23, 1994, and gained two stepsons, Brent Fisher of Mount Pleasant and Garret Fisher of Shepherd.
Greg is survived by his beloved grandchildren—Taylor, Tatum, Ryan, Chase, Madason, Jolie, and Tristin—who brought him endless joy. He is also survived by his brother, Bill (Joyce) Joslin of Mount Pleasant, and his sister, Nonie (Jim) Huber of Shepherd.
Greg was a proud master plumber and longtime member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 85.
He could often be found on the golf course, teeing off alongside his best friend, Mike Klump, and he cherished his time at deer camp—where he might start off as a hunter but always ended up as the chef, famously preparing his legendary German beef.
The family would like to thank Arbor Grove in Alma for the wonderful care provided.
Funeral services will be held at Berry Funeral Home, 106 W Wright Avenue in Shepherd, on Wednesday, July 2, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be the same day from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
