Jeffrey Scott Thaller Sr., age 53, of Shepherd, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 30, 2026.
Jeff was born January 7, 1973, the son of Terry and Marlene (Jones) Thaller Sr.
Jeff was a family man at heart and loved spending time with those closest to him. His boys and his grandchildren meant the world to him, and he treasured the time he was able to spend with them.
An outdoorsman, Jeff enjoyed hunting and spending time in the woods. He was also a longtime lover of rock and roll music and was an especially big fan of Ozzy Osbourne. In his younger years, Jeff earned the nickname “The Griz,” a fitting name for a guy known for his strength.
Jeff is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey (Alex-Andrea) Thaller Jr. and Jesse (Hannah) Thaller; three grandchildren, Asher, Amaya, and Aleena; brother, Jason (Kennetha) Thaller; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Marlene Thaller Sr.; and his brothers, Terry Edward Thaller Jr. and Patrick Martin Thaller.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Jeff’s life will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church on M-20.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
