To Whom It May Concern at the Pearly Gates, Please consider this the formal application for Jerry Lee McCarrick Jr.—known lovingly on Earth also as
“Jard,” “Dad,” and “Papa”—to take up permanent residence in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Qualifications:
• Lifelong follower of Christ, faithful reader of the Bible (yes, even Leviticus), and PRAYER WARRIOR, a man who lived by the WORD.
• Devoted husband to Janice McCarrick for 53 years, 8 months, and 15 days. Proud father to Amber (Matt) Bonnell, Alan (Leslie) McCarrick, and Anndrea (Dean) VanCamp. Bestest Papa to 7 wonderful Grandchildren and one cute little, chunky great-granddaughter. Brother of Penny (John) Daniels.
• Provider of dad jokes, corny puns, and the kind of laughter that echoes through generations.
• Champion of Pegs and Jokers, though always a gracious winner (and occasionally a suspicious loser to his dear wife, who preferred to win their matches).
• Possessed a heart overflowing with compassion, humility, and unwavering love.

• Couldn’t resist a good pun, even in serious moments.
• Competitive at games in the gentlest, most mischievous way possible. Jerry didn’t just believe in Heaven—he lived in a way that pointed others toward it. He spoke kindly, walked humbly, and loved deeply. We, his family, believe his application has already been stamped “Approved” by the loving hands of the One he followed so faithfully.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Oasis Community Church in Ithaca (1250 E Washington Rd., Ithaca, MI 48847). Visitation will start at 10 A.M. followed by the celebration of life at 11 A.M.
