Joan Amelia Faber; age 94 of Shepherd passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 surrounded by family at Mt. Pleasant Comfort Care.  Joan was born April 12, 1931 the daughter of Joseph and Angeline (Weiber) Wawersik. She married Edward Faber on August 18, 1951 in Beal City.  They moved to Shepherd in 1957 and farmed together their entire lives. She was a devout Catholic, always praying the rosary at Lent and Advent. Joan enjoyed sewing, quilting, bingo, listening to music, and was known as a great cook. She loved and adored her family.  Joan is survived by her daughter Kathy Blizzard and her children Carrie (Greg) Beeson, Craig (Rebecca) Lobsinger, and Chad (Amy) Lobsinger; her daughter Sue (Pat) Theisen and her children Jesse (Katy) Theisen, Stephanie (Mike) Juchno, and Jacklyn (Scot) Sexton; son Mike (Michell) Faber and his sons Vance Faber  and Jordan (Ashley) Faber; son Gary (Cris Lebaron) Faber and his son Jonathan (Sara Lehigh); daughter Denise (Don) Long and their children Danny (Danielle) Long, Derek (Kristen) Long, and Demi (Kevin) Bleise; daughter Michelle (Randy) Mazure and their children Sarah (Jonah) Gause, Jacob Steere, Branden Mazure, and Brooke (Jared) Bean; and daughter Brenda (Joe) Gruss and her children Eddie (Cesilia Rodriguez) Gruss, Cody Gruss, and Nathan Gruss; 28 great grandchildren; 3 siblings Theresa Austin, Shirley Meyer, and Dale Wawersik; sisters-in-law Betty Wawersik and Shirley Faber; and numerous nieces and nephews. Joan is preceded by her husband Edward; both her parents; her son Danny Faber; grandson Josh Faber; daughter-in-law Jacklyn Faber; brothers Ron and Kenny Wawersik; sister-in-law Mary Ann Wawersik; and brother-in-law Fred Meyer. Services for Joan will be Wednesday, August 20 at 11 A.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Irishtown with Father Loren Kalinowski officiating. There will be visitation from 10 A.M. until time of service. There will be visitation Tuesday, August 19 at Berry Funeral Home from 4 to 8 P.M. with a vigil service starting at 7 P.M. Memorials can be made on behalf of Joan to Harmony at Home Hospice or St. Vincent de Paul Church.
