JoAnn Swenson; age 89 of Shepherd passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025 peacefully at Green Acres Assisted Living. JoAnn was born December 16, 1935 the daughter of Harry and Ilene (Arnold) Walker. She married Charles Swenson July 11, 1953 at the Shepherd United Methodist Church where she was a lifetime member. JoAnn served on the Tri Township Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed being an interior designer and her and Charles owned Swenson’s Furniture in Shepherd. She loved having people over for coffee and painting for people in the community. JoAnn is survived by 3 children Craig (Robin) Swenson of Gooding, ID, Jeff (Linda) Swenson of Gooding, ID, and Kimberlyn (Stephen) Recker of Alma; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 siblings Janet (Don) Leonard of St. Louis, Judy Steere of Shepherd, Mike (Madonna) Taylor of Shepherd, and Deb (Jim) Strang of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. JoAnn is preceded by both her parents; her husband Charles; son Kurt Swenson; sister Sue Sanders; and brother-in-law Joel Swenson. Services for JoAnn will be Thursday, May 8 at the Shepherd United Methodist Church at 11 A.M. There will be a visitation Wednesday, May 7 at Berry Funeral Home from 4 to 8 P.M.
