Julie Anne Lownsbery of Rosebush died peacefully at her home on May 24, 2025.
Julie was born March 27, 1953 to Theodore and Betty (Cain) Roberts. She married John Lownsbery on May 24, 1970. Together they had 3 children, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren who were the lights of her life.
Julie was a member of Clare Christ Fellowship where she was a member for the past several years. Although she was unable to attend services in person for the past months, she was faithful to watch the services online and sing along with the worship services.
Julie’s hobbies included canning, collecting recipes and crocheting. Family, friends and neighbors loved her canned peaches and Julie would often send jars home with visitors. She spent the last few months making afghans for friends and family members.
Julie is survived by her husband John Lownsbery, son Theodore (Vicki) Lownsbery of Mt. Pleasant, Bobbie (Mark) O’Malley of West Palm Beach, Florida, Melissa Lownsbery of Davie, Florida; her grandchildren Allan O’Malley of West Palm Beach, Florida, Michael (Hunter) Lownsbery of Shepherd, Michigan, Bailey Lownsbery of Shepherd, Quentin Lownsbery of Mt. Pleasant, Jonathan Lownsbery of Mt. Pleasant, Ayanna Griffin of Davie, Florida, and Aleesha Griffin of Rosebush, Michigan; her 3 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Roberts, sisters Barbara, Marilyn Champaign, Karen (Bruce) Minder and Betty (Tim) Champaign, sisters-in-law Donna Lownsbery and Jan Lownsbery.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Betty Roberts; granddaughter Julia Griffin; sister Joyce Hedin; brothers David and Theodore Roberts, her father-in-law Allan Lownsbery; mother-in-law Donna Lownsbery, brothers-in-law Mark Lownsbery and Roger Lownsbery, and sisters-in-law Sharon and Patricia.
Julie wanted to extend a special thank you to her church family for all of the meals, calls and texts over the past few months. Also, a special thank you to Bobbie, Aleesha, Marilyn, Michael, Karen, Bruce and Betty for all of your support in taking care of me over the last year. Whether it was caring for the lawn, taking the trash out, making meals, cleaning or just sitting and being with me, I felt your love. As per wishes, there will be no services. Any memorial contributions can be made to Clare Christ Fellowship of Clare, Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
