Kimberlyn Jo Recker; age 69 of Alma passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 at her home. Kim was born March 20, 1956 the daughter of Kim and JoAnn (Walker) Swenson. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking big meals, decorating, and going to the casino to play her “pennies.” She also enjoyed her time serving the Catholic Church and loved being around her grandchildren. Kim worked nearly 30 years at Gratiot Community Hospital in administration. She married Steve Recker July 12, 1975 and the two of them celebrated 50 years of marriage. Kim is survived by her husband Steve; 2 daughters Katie (Jeff) Binder of Whittemore and Lesley (Mike) Strieter of Bay Port; 4 grandchildren Matthew, Brooke, Megan, and Lane; 2 brothers Craig (Robin) Swenson of Gooding, ID and Jeff (Linda) Swenson of Gooding, ID; and several nieces and nephews. Kim is preceded by both her parents and her brother Kurt Swenson. Services for Kim will be Friday, September 12 at St. Vincent de Paul Church at 11 A.M. with Father Fred Kawka officiating. There will be visitation from 10 A.M. until time of service. There will also be visitation Thursday, September 11 at Berry Funeral Home from 4 to 8 P.M. with a vigil service at 7 P.M. Interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery at a later date.
