Mark Anthony Moeggenborg; age 62 of Shepherd passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 1, 2025 surrounded by family. Mark was born January 20, 1963 the son of Oliver and Zelma (Church) Moeggenborg. He was a graduate of Shepherd High School. He married Connie Kyser August 13, 1988 and they enjoyed 37 years of marriage. Mark worked for Dow Chemical for nearly 30 years. He enjoyed farming, traveling, and riding his motorcycle. Mark liked being outdoors whether it was visiting with neighbors and friends, going to their cabin in the U.P., or going for walks. He cherished being a Papa to his two grandchildren. Mark is survived by his wife Connie; his daughter Amy (Joseph) Rice of Elwell and his son Jordan (Carly Wirth) Moeggenborg of Ithaca; grandchildren Jed and Addy Rice; siblings Donald (Gloria) Moeggenberg of Shepherd, Dale (Colleen) Moeggenborg of Alma, Eileen Sanders of Shepherd, Marlene (Don) Nixon of Victor, MT, Chris (Betty) Moeggenborg of Alma, Steve (Geralyn) Moeggenborg of Shepherd, and Vernon (Rebecca) Moeggenborg of Elwell; brothers-in-law Pat Kyser of Shepherd and Don Kyser of Shepherd; along with many many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Mark is preceded in death by both his parents; sister Diane Schafer, nephew David Moeggenborg; brother-in-law Gale Sanders; and father and mother-in-law Philip “Jake” and Mary Jo Kyser. Services for Mark will be Friday, September 5 at 11 A.M. at St. Patrick’s Church in Irishtown with Father Fred Kawka officiating with visitation from 10 A.M. until time of service. There will also be visitation Thursday, September 4 at St. Patrick’s from 2 to 8 P.M. with a vigil service at 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made on behalf of Mark to the St. Patrick Cemetery Fund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
