Marvin Ernest Loomis; age 72 of Weidman passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 at his home surrounded by family and friends after a short battle of cancer. He was born April 26, 1953 the son of Otis and Mary Ellen (Hunt) Loomis. Marvin worked at Andersen Brothers for 30 plus years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing cards with special friends Ronny & Susan Sprauge. He also enjoyed babysitting his great grandson Knox.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Loomis of 48 years; his daughter Lorena (Thomas) Morden; son Joshua (Susan) Loomis; grandchildren Deven (Courtney) Loomis, Bailey Loomis, Tyson Loomis, Josh (Brittany) Riskoivch, Tera (Alex) Houghton, Hunter Ashley Bentley, Evan Bentley, Marcus Carson, Abbie Carson, Jeremiah Morden, Jayden Morden, Gavin Morden, and Chance Morden; 8 great grandchildren; sister Dorothy Barlow, Vada Holton, Aldine (Ron) Griffor, and Maryann Doyle; brother George Loomis; and several nieces & nephews.
Marvin is preceded in death by both his parents; his brother William Loomis; mother and father-in-law Albert & Beatrice Seeley; sisters-in law Marjorie Rauschenberger, Phyllis Balcom, Barbara Homister, and Pamela Loomis; and brothers-in law Richard Seeley, Donald Seeley, Donald Rauschenberger, Howard Homister, LeRoy Holton & Bob Barlow.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
