Phillip Eugene Leonard; age 84 of St. Louis passed away Friday, October 31, 2025 peacefully at his home surrounded by family. Phil was born August 19, 1941 the son of William and Lenora (Stahl) Leonard. The three things that defined Phil the most was his faith, his family, and his music. He married Joyce Travis October 20, 1962. The two of them were inseparable and performed music together for a lifetime. In his younger years, Phil was a dairy farmer. He then became a dedicated worker for over 40 years with Consumers Power. During which, he also served as a Union President. He was a lifelong member of the Coe Church of Christ and served as an elder since 1982. Phil loved spending time with his family and going on camping trips. He was a mentor to many was a founding member to the Whitefield’s Mission to India. Phil is survived by 3 children Ellen Reeves, Robert Leonard, and Dale (Debra) Leonard; 7 grandchildren Shawn (Sarah) Reeves, Nathan Leonard, Michael (Kelsey) Leonard, Nicholas (Autumn) Leonard, Alicia (Dakota) Peterson, Haleigh McLeod, and Greison McLeod; 11 great grandchildren Annora, Mason, Abel, Noah, LJ, Allyanna, Riley, Logan, Fox, Lincoln, and Raylynn; his sister Karen (Richard) Best; and several nieces and nephews. Phil is preceded by both his parents; his wife Joyce; and daughter-in-law Mariela Leonard. Services for Phil will be Saturday, November 8 at 11 A.M. at Coe Church with Matt Boughan officiating. There will be visitation from 10 A.M. until time of service. There will also be visitation on Friday, November 7 from 4 to 8 P.M. at Coe Church. Memorial contributions can be made on behalf of Phil to the Coe Church of Christ. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
