Scott Dale Hendershot; age 56 of Shepherd passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at his home. Scott was born August 24, 1968 the son of Albert and Norma Jean (Lux) Hendershot. He enjoyed working on old trucks and really anything he could wrench on. Scott also enjoyed hunting and family barbeques. He loved smoking meat and was known for his smoked ribs. Scott loved being with friends and family. He worked over 20 years as a machinist for Morbark Industries. Scott married April Foltz November 14, 1997. Scott is survived by his wife April; his mother Norma Jean of Mt. Pleasant; 4 siblings Jeffery Hendershot of Blanchard, Christine Sosnowski of Detroit, Penny (Mickey) Geerts of Battle Creek, and Randy (Elaine) Hendershot of Edmore; special nieces and nephews that were like children to Scott and April Leanne (JR) Vanacker of Shepherd, James (Kiley) Foltz of Shepherd, and Kyle (Autum) Foltz of Midland; numerous nieces and nephews with Jolynn Bass of Hudson and Daniel (Caliegh) Hendershot of Sand Creek being close to Scott’s heart; multiple great nieces and nephews; and brothers-in-law Jim and Tammy Foltz, Ken Foltz, Phil VanOrden, and Gary VanOrden. Scott is preceded by his father Albert. Services for Scott will be Monday, April 28 at 1 P.M. at Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd with Reverend Bill Chu officiating. There will be visitation from 10 A.M. until time of service. A special thank you to Jim and Tammy Foltz for all there help over the years.
