Stephanie Sue Detzler; age 38 of Alma passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. Stephanie was born March 24, 1987, the daughter of Christopher Detzler and Deborah Detzler. She worked as a waitress for many years in the Houghton Lake area, and worked as a manager of the café at the Barnes & Noble in Naples, Florida. She loved Halloween and spending time with her family. Stephanie loved her dog Zoey that she rescued from the shelter. Stephanie enjoyed talking to people and going to garage sales. Stephanie is survived by her mother Deborah Detzler of Alma; father Christopher Detzler of Shepherd; Sister Nicole (Steve Friend) Detzler of Elwell; her boyfriend Michael Scott of Prudenville; nieces and nephews Dana Friend of Royal Oak, Breanna Friend of Leland, NC, Dylan Friend of Alma, and Olivia Friend of Rio Linda, CA; aunt Judy Hoffman of Alma; and numerous cousins, friends and extended family. Stephanie is preceded in death by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services per request. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home.
