Terry L. James, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away at Schnepps Nursing Home on March 23, 2025 at the age of 78 after a 4 year battle with end-stage renal failure.
Terry was born on July 26, 1946 in Alma, Michigan. Terry worked for over 40 years in the auto-body repair industry. He was a devoted employee who took great pride in his work. He spent many years at Martin’s Chevrolet in Saginaw and Garber Chevrolet in Midland. Terry was a simple man who engaged the simple things in life: his family, his friends, and sharing a laugh with whoever was around him.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gerry, whom he married on November 7, 1970; daughter Jodee (Shane) Dutill of Fairfield, ME; son Kristopher (Kelli Sahr)James of Ashley, MI/Cedar Mountain, NC; granddaughter Paige Dutill; 3 grand-dogs
George, Gus and Gary; sister Charlotte (Dale) Bushre; sister-in-law Lily James; brother and sister-in-law Lynn and Sue Moulton; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents George and Audrey James; brothers Frances and Bob James; and nephew Kyle James.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
