Dennis James McQueen
Dennis James McQueen, age 72, of Riverdale, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
Dennis was born May 16, 1954, the son of William and Donna (Eggleston) McQueen. He married Sue Kenny on November 9, 1972, and together they shared nearly 54 years of marriage.
Dennis was a hardworking man who dedicated 30 years of his life to General Motors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a love for old trucks and an even greater passion for his Harley-Davidson motorcycles, owning three of them. Dennis loved the freedom of the open road and enjoyed taking long motorcycle trips with Sue. One of their most memorable adventures was an incredible 11,000-mile journey to Alaska, traveling as far north as they could go. Dennis and Sue also enjoyed many motorcycle rides with the Forgotten Eagles, sharing their love of riding and the friendships they made along the way.
Above all, Dennis loved his family. He treasured the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and his love for them was an important part of his life.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Sue McQueen of Riverdale; his three children, Shawn (Reginald Long) McQueen of Jacksonville, Florida, Dawn McQueen of Riverdale, and Ryan (Olivia) McQueen of Riverdale; six grandchildren, Caleb Long, Alyssa Long, Jasmine Favorite, Dakota Favorite, Bryanna McQueen, and Haylee McQueen; three great-grandchildren, Bridger, Rori, and Charlee; his siblings, Douglas McQueen of Shepherd, Diane (Jim) Willoughby of Shepherd, and his twin sister, Pam Losey; and several nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
