Mary Ellen Nartker was a tough and strong woman, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In the early hours of July 6th, 2025, in Mount Pleasant, Michigan; Mary passed away. She was 93 years old, born December 10, 1931. Through the years, Mary traveled and lived between Michigan and Florida with her husband, Robert Nartker. Mary was the type of woman to keep and care for cats, even though she was allergic to them. She spent some of her time sewing quilts, and gave several of her grandchildren a beautiful hand-made quilt for their high school graduation. Mary also enjoyed winning trophies at tractor pulls alongside Robert, pulling with John Deere and Massey Ferguson tractors. Mary leaves behind her sons Michael of Steamboat Springs, CO; Daniel (Karen) of Owosso, MI; Wayne of Houghton Lake, MI; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. Mary is preceded in death by husband Robert ‘Bob’, son Kevin, daughter Judy, and grandchild Brian. It is Mary’s wishes to have no memorial services, loved ones are encouraged to memorialize and celebrate the life of Mary in their own way. Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
