Robert D Rood; age 76 of Remus passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 peacefully at his home surrounded by family. Robert was born February 15, 1949 the son of John and Marvel (Porter) Rood. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, particularly salmon fishing near Newago. He also enjoyed long motorcycle trips. Robert was an entrepreneur of sorts and always had several things going on in the business side of his life. Robert is survived by his partner Amanda Frost; 4 children Jeremy (Kim) Dodge, Clayton (Laurie) Dodge, Dan Foster, and Jenni Scott; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother Robert Rood; his sister Sue Keene; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and good friends. Robert is preceded by both his parents; brothers Lee, Johnny, Otto, Russell, Delbert, Jake, Abe, Michael, and twin brother Jay Rood; and his sister Nancy Wonsey. Services for Robert will be Wednesday, January 7 at 1 P.M. at Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd with Dar Blanshan officiating. There will be visitation from noon until time of service.
