Shane Thomas Clark, age 59, of Hubbardston, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home in Ithaca Michigan surrounded by love and family while under hospice care on May 22, 2026.
Born on June 3, 1966, in Carson City, Michigan, Shane was the son of Rose Rita Clark and Arzah “Keith” Clark. Michigan was always home to Shane, and he carried a deep love for his family, nature, and the simple joys of life.
Shane was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. For 22 years, he shared his life with his devoted wife, Annette Clark. Together they built a family filled with love, laughter, and strength through life’s many challenges.
For three difficult years, Shane fought a long and courageous battle against cancer. Through chemotherapy, surgeries, and countless hardships, he continued to show strength, determination, and love for those around him. Though his fight ultimately came to an end, his resilience and spirit never left him.
He found happiness in coaching ball, spending time outdoors, pheasant hunting, swimming, and being with his beloved dogs. Shane loved Detroit Tigers softball, Labrador Retrievers, and nothing more than being surrounded by family. Those who knew him will remember his kind heart, soft spirit, and emotional warmth. Many lovingly described his greatest “superpower” as simply being the best stepdad anyone could ask for.
Shane is survived by his wife, Annette Clark; his children, William “Billy” Koutrouba, Lorelei Wilfong, Joselyne Clark, and Keith Clark; his grandchildren, Natalie Staffen, Treytin Koutrouba, Amelia Grace Koutrouba, Stephan Welke, Arzah Arthur Welke, Lake Wilfong, and Lachlan Wilfong; and his siblings, Bonnie Kilcherman, Judy Scheffer, Cindy Howard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Rita Clark and Arzah “Keith” Clark.
